Who makes your furniture?
We partner with artisans who care about the products they create, often hand-selecting the materials they use. We combine their special manufacturing expertise with our unique needs to offer an exclusive furniture collection of the highest quality at the lowest prices.

What materials are used to make your furniture?
We love using beautiful natural materials such as solid wood and recycled products in our furniture. Some choices are based on tradition, such as using solid teak wood. Other choices are nontraditional—for example, crafting an end table from banana wood and cinnamon. Our simple designs showcase the beauty of the materials we choose. Wood from demolition and self-sustained forests are our main focus. These materials have been exposed or prepared to last longer under rough conditions. Mother pearl and coconut are well used to enhance the look and design. We care about our Earth. We even used recycled glass in some of our products.

Can I create my own my furniture?
Yes, we offer many ways to personalize or create your own furniture. You can top many of our tables and desks in your choice of natural materials, including solid wood, granite and glass. You also can create your own bedroom, dining or media storage pieces and tables with our help. Also, choose from many fabrics to tailor your sofa and chairs. Ask a Design Associate for details. Sizes are customizable, too. And the delivery time is a plus.

Why don’t your beds have box springs?
Our mattresses are engineered to offer great comfort and support without the need of a box spring. That’s why we can design all of our beds to accommodate a mattress only. A bed without a box spring offers a cleaner profile and saves you money.

How do I care for my furniture?
Most of our furniture is crafted from natural materials that may require some special care. Look for the Care Instructions link on each product page.

Shopping With Us


Can I find your furniture at other stores or Web sites?
Most of our products are made exclusively for us. We travel to Bali to look for the best and most unique designs. We deal with our Balinese friends/artisans to create something new every time. In the unlikely event you should find a lower price on one of these items, we’ll gladly match it.

When do you have sales?
At Bali House, we don’t play the sales game, inflating prices and then holding sales to create a false sense of savings. We believe offering the lowest prices every day and guaranteeing them is respectful and offers you the best value. Our annual clearance sale of discontinued items is held in late December.

Do you guarantee your furniture?
We stand behind the quality of our products and will make things right if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.

What is a Wish List?
A Wish List allows you to store your favorite products and the specifications you want. You can e-mail your Wish List to a Design Associate to begin the ordering process or to get answers to specific product questions.

Do you have gift cards?
Yes, Bali House gift cards are available in any denomination and can be sent directly to the recipient.

How often will you send me e-mails?
If you join our e-mail list, we’ll send you 1-2 e-mails a month to inform you of new products and special events.

Will you share my e-mail or mailing address with other companies?
The security of your personally identifiable information is important to us and for that reason we do not share, sell or trade e-mail addresses with third parties. If you request to receive information from us, we will presume that you have given us permission to communicate with you about that information by e-mail.

Are the prices on your Web site different from those in your store?
No, you’ll find the same prices on the Web as those in our store.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, personal checks, money orders, cash and Bali House gift cards as payment. Full payment is required to ship an order.

If I find the same item elsewhere for a lower price, will you match it?
Yes. We will not knowingly sell an item at a higher price than another retailer. If you find the exact same item at a lower price, we will gladly match it. But most likely you won't find the same product anywhere.

Do I have to pay sales tax on my order?
Tax is calculated based on the order total for each delivered address and the state to which the item(s) is delivered. We are required to collect sales tax according to a state's specific sales tax law. For more information please call 310.37.4777.

How do you handle returns and exchanges?
If you want to return or exchange your product, we encourage you to do so in a timely manner so as not to incur damage that would be subject to an assessment fee. Full refunds are issued for furniture if it is currently in our assortment and returned in its original condition. Returns, cancellations or changes on special orders incur a 10 percent cancellation fee. Keep in mind, returns on shipped orders incur return shipping costs, and original shipping charges are not refundable. Credit card or gift card orders will receive a credit; orders paid by cash or check receive a refund check.

Delivery


Do you deliver to my area?
We deliver anywhere in the 48 contiguous United States. Hawaii delivery is also available. Please call 310.372.4777 for more information. Please see our Delivery link for detailed information.

How long will it take to get my furniture?
We don’t want you to wait for your furniture, so our furniture and accessories that are in the store are ready for delivery. Some items in our website might need more time. In most cases, your furniture should be delivered within 10 business days for local delivery and within three weeks for extended and national delivery. Please allow extra time for special order items. Please, contact a sales Representative for further information.

How much is delivery?

Do you assemble my furniture?
The majority of our products require in-home delivery, which might include assembly, removal of packaging and the careful placement of furniture in your home.
